What is Affiliate Marketing? And just as important is how you can profit from it.

The idea of an affiliate program is a very simple marketing strategy. In part it is an outgrowth of the Internet and free email services. Imagine that you are standing in the middle of a crowd of hundreds of millions of people with money in their pockets, and a desire to spend it.

If you had a product to sell, it would seem that you are in Heaven, wouldn’t it? If you are planning to engage in Affiliate Business Internet Marketing Online in an active role, you either need to start getting people who visit your site to subscribe to your newsletter, or you need to buy lists of addresses from people who gather lists of “double opt-in” subscribers.

A double opt-in has to agree to accept email from one site, and also has to agree to accept emails from unspecified “others” who may be affiliated with the site you subscribed to.

Whether or not you are in an Affiliate Marketing Program, you are continually being offered the option to join some marketer’s “list.” Whatever you are interested in; whatever you read on the Internet, you surely have seen an invitation to receive a “newsletter” from that site. If you “subscribe” to the newsletter, you are a captured address with a “single opt-in.”

With you being a “single opt-in” the owner of the newsletter has certain rights with regard to sending you emails. These rights include, but may not be limited to sending you “offers” directly from the owner of the newsletter. Before you subscribe to any newsletter, READ the “terms and conditions” and the “privacy policy” of that site, (you know, those two little boxes you check without reading just to get your newsletter).

The affiliate program or programs are challenging to figure out in the beginning, just stick to your guns and you will have it worked out quickly.

Remember, targeted marketing, research and websites that convert into sales are key to the affiliate program marketing business. Buy a book from an authority in the business, understand what it’s all about, and then jump in and start promoting! This is definitely a business anyone can enjoy and profit from!

Then you have the claims of working only a few hours a day, a few days a week, if you follow their step by step tutorial. Always followed with a statement - “the only way this will not work, is if YOU don’t WORK it.” In other words - it’s your fault if it doesn’t work, it couldn’t possibly be the product is over hyped.

Getting back to the one thing successful people have in common. They have the desire with the persistence, to pursuit success until they achieve it. THEY DON’T GIVE UP. There are over 100,000 want-to-be Internet Marketing ‘newbies’ on the internet. Especially, now that the economy is in a state of woe, job losses abound and everyone is looking for a solution. Almost every website has some type of advertisement displayed. Many of these sites have offers of solutions, if only you will sign up. Each will eventually tell you they have found the ’s.ecret’ to making massive amounts of m.oney, with little or no effort.

While this is not exactly a lie, it’s not really the truth either. I’ve got to give them credit though, there is some very slick word play out there [that happens to be one of the so-called 'se.crets']. And if you follow a few of these tops marketers for even a short period of time, you begin to see a trend.

While I am going to require signups myself, I will make a distinction from all those other offers out there:

Twitter: My Experience Thus Far is

My experience thus far with twitter is all … OK, before I go further with that statement, I would like to share a few aspects about myself:

• Not a follower by nature
• Always thinking outside of the box
• Need for knowledge
• Need for doing more in less time

Never having been a person that goes with the flow, I hesitated joining twitter as everyone else was doing - but decided to check it out when MJ died and set twitter on its head. Most of my hesitation came from the squidoo rage and myspace misuse by many. Many associates did their best to encourage me to join, but I always ‘thought to myself’ that tomorrow was better suited to checking it out. But, guess what?

- Tomorrow never comes - Today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday! And it played out in the manner it did by what you DID or DIDN’T do.

I love learning and hearing others’ thoughts and proven methods. Trying to find a social medium where I could make those connections without any stigmas or preconceptions attached, and where “I” felt the site offered a comfort zone (security, public yet offering privacy controls, etc) without hassle or complexity - has been the largest issue for myself - until now.

While my experience is still raw, thus far, Twitter is all good! And, I have gained some valuable insight, information and products as a result. So, today now brings me to the point of ‘constructing’ the means of sharing the best of those products, information and insight.
